New online system PlayHQ

***Compulsory changes implemented by Basketball Victoria***

–Basketball Victoria is changing from Sports TG to PlayHQ online system–

Dear Families,

Last Monday, 24th February, all 12 basketball Clubs in the Sunbury Basketball Association were introduced to a new online platform called PlayHQ by Basketball Victoria. It will replace Sports TG. This is a COMPULSORY condition of registration for all players commencing this upcoming Winter 2020 season. It includes the Insurance component of registration. Yes, we agree that it is really LATE notice ☹

After a long emergency committee meeting last week (27th February), Rupertswood Basketball Club have concluded:

1. That our families have no choice but to register ONLINE with PlayHQ ($25/year per child player. $39/year per adult player).
2. It can only be paid by credit/debit card.
3. There may be some teething problems with the PlayHQ program so at this stage, we are keeping the PlayHQ registration separate to our normal registration process.
4. The 5% increase by the Sunbury Basketball Association is locked, so Rupertswood Basketball Club Registration cost has to stay at $180 (even with the insurance component changes).
5. If your child plays for other basketball associations in Victoria (eg: SBA, Jets, Macedon Ranges, Melton) they will only have to pay one time during the March to March timeline to be covered for all (ie: Will not pay the $25 PlayHQ fee for Summer season, unless did not play in Winter). In effect, this equates to $12.50 per domestic season, winter & summer.
6. PlayHQ is not an APP – have to bookmark it from web pages. Will be able to get ladders and fixtures from it.

Sunbury Basketball Association and Rupertswood Basketball Club are still ironing out the kinks, so will not roll this out to you until after this weekend.

When we put the call out to enrol, we really need you to hop ON-LINE within the following week to get it done. Your child will not be able to take the court this Winter unless you have registered.

Reminder that the Rupertswood Basketball Club Pre-registration Fee of $80 (non-refundable) deposit and completion of Player form are now due – please pay if you haven’t already done so. (Remaining $100 to be paid by Round 3 of Winter 2020 season).
